Chapter Thirteen
The phone callâ¦
Pie
âWe need a towel or something?â Bristol licked her finger. âIâm all sticky.â
âIf you wouldnât have gotten all squirmy on me, I wouldnât have made such a mess.â
Bristol rolled her eyes. âPouring melted ice cream and fudge all over my boobs isnât something that can be not messy, Pie,â she laughed.
I bent down and swiped my tongue over a rogue drip of ice cream. âHey, it was your idea. You said you didnât want the ice cream to go to waste. And I thought I did a pretty good job of cleaning it up.â I spotted another drop of ice cream I had missed and lapped it up with my tongue.
Bristol delved her fingers into my hair and sighed. âIâm not saying I regret that at all; Iâm just saying youâre going to need to get me a washcloth.â
âOr we could test out your shower,â I suggested.
She laughed and shook her head. âIâm pretty exhausted from the two rounds we just did. I think I need to nap for about ten hours.â
âA ten-hour nap, huh?â I laughed. âI think you could just call that sleeping, Bri.â
She relaxed into the pillows. âI suppose.â Her face sobered, and she sighed.
âWhatâs wrong, beautiful?â I lifted my head and brushed her hair back from her face. I pressed a kiss to her lips and rolled onto my back. She moved to cuddle into my side and rested her head on my shoulder.
âNothing. Just tired,â she whispered.
Something was wrong. Bristol and I had just had mind-blowing sex. Twice. Nothing should be wrong. âSomething is on that mind of yours. Tell me what it is.â
She closed her eyes and sighed. âNothing, Pie. Iâm just tired and sticky,â she whispered.
âYou want to shower, or should I just get that washcloth.â
âWe can do whatever you want,â she mumbled. She laid her hand on my chest and traced circles with her fingertip.
âLet me up, babe. Youâre tired.â
Bristol rolled onto her back and threw her arm over her face. âI canât guarantee I wonât be asleep when you get back.â
I chuckled and slid out of bed. âIâll be quick.â I jogged into the bathroom and grabbed a washcloth she had hanging in the shower. I ran it under the faucet and wrung it out. âNo sleeping,â I called.
Bristolâs light laughter floated into the bathroom. âNo guarantees, Pie.â
I glanced in the mirror and was surprised to see the huge smile on my face. Bristol was the one who put that there. She made me happy even when she was just lying in bed, exhausted.
Washcloth in hand, I walked back in the bedroom, planted a knee on the bed, grabbed the covers, and exposed Bristolâs naked body. I gently wiped the cloth over her breasts and stomach. My desire for Bristol rose again even though I had just had her twice.
âDonât do that,â she whispered.
My hand froze, and my eyes connected with hers. âDo what?â She was the one who had told me she was sticky and needed to be wiped down.
